Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and the Brazilian company that operates PaceBio (its legal name, CNPJ registration number and address will be listed here before payments in US dollars open) ("PaceBio", "we"). By creating an account or using PaceBio, you agree to them.

1. What PaceBio is

A public runner page at pacebio.app/yourname that you build in the app: your next race with a countdown, personal bests, races you've run, medals, gear and links. The Free plan costs nothing. Premium is an optional subscription with extra features.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older.
You are responsible for what you publish: text, photos, links and numbers. Only publish photos that are yours or that you have the right to use.
Your address (yourname) is yours while your account exists. Reserved or offensive addresses, or ones that imitate brands, people or race organizers, can be refused or removed.
Keep your password safe. If you think someone got into your account, change your password and contact us.

3. What is not allowed

Illegal use, scams, phishing, malware or links that mislead people who click them.
Pretending to be another person, brand or race organizer.
Spam, including through the media kit contact form, and asking for money on behalf of others.
Infringing someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
Interfering with PaceBio's security: probing or testing for vulnerabilities, scraping, or sending malicious code.

We may take down pages that break these rules, with or without notice. Anyone can report a page.

4. Who owns what

PaceBio, its brand, design and software belong to us. The content you publish stays yours; you give us permission to store and show it, only to run PaceBio (for example, to show your page and its preview).

5. Premium, payment and Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle processes the payment, issues the receipt, calculates and collects sales tax or VAT where applicable, and handles billing questions and refunds. Your purchase is also governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. We never see or store your card details.
Prices (in US dollars): US$ 5.99 per month, US$ 49 per year, or US$ 149 for lifetime (a single payment). In Latin America, regional prices apply: US$ 3.99 per month, US$ 29 per year or US$ 99 for lifetime. The final price, with any tax, is shown at checkout before you pay. Price changes apply to new subscriptions; while your subscription stays active, you keep your price.
Renewal: the monthly plan renews every month and the yearly plan every year, charged to the same payment method, until you cancel.
Lifetime: Premium with no end date for as long as PaceBio exists. If PaceBio ever shuts down, we will tell you in advance and you can download all your data.
Free trial: 14 days of Premium, one per account, on the monthly or yearly plan. You add a payment method and nothing is charged that day. The first charge comes when the trial ends, on the date shown before you confirm, and we email you 3 days before. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing. Completing the onboarding missions in your first 7 days extends the trial to 30 days (45 days if you joined through a friend's link); anyone who joins through a friend's link gets a 30-day trial.
Cancel anytime in the app (Account › Cancel renewal) or at paddle.net. Premium continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, Premium continues for up to 7 days while you update your payment method; after that, your page goes back to the Free format.
Refunds: you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of any payment. See the refund policy. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the Premium from that payment ends.
Refer and earn: each friend who subscribes through your link earns you extra Premium: 1 month for monthly, 2 for yearly and 3 for lifetime, added 7 days after their payment and only if it is not refunded. Ambassador ladder: 3 subscribed friends earn 1 more month (Bronze), 10 earn 1 more year (Silver) and 30 earn lifetime Premium (Gold). For an active subscription, earned months postpone your next renewal. If you already have lifetime Premium, you don't earn months, but your friends still count for the ladder and the badges. Each friend counts once, you can't refer yourself, and accounts created to game referrals are cancelled.
When Premium ends, your page goes back to the Free format. Nothing you saved is deleted.

6. Race information

The race calendar comes from public sources and may have mistakes in dates, places or distances. Always check the race's official website before signing up. "Where to see me on race day" is an estimate based on the goal pace, not live tracking, and it does not replace official results.

7. Media kit and brand proposals

Media kit numbers are provided by the runner. PaceBio only delivers the proposal: we don't take part in, guarantee or take a commission on deals between runners and brands.

8. Availability and changes

PaceBio is in beta. We work to keep it running and back it up every day, but we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it may be offline for maintenance or because of failures. We may change features, prices for new subscriptions and these terms; we will announce relevant changes in the app in advance.

9. Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, non-payment, or a risk of fraud or to security. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account › Delete my account).

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, PaceBio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country.

11. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
